Client Brief

This master ensuite was part of a 3 bathroom project we did in the spring of 2017 for our clients Mr and Mrs T in Stoke Bishop. The master bathroom was the room in particular that they wanted to transform into a stylish, executive ensuite.

By removing the bath, we were able to make a feature of the basin by installing a 160cm double basin along this wall. To add gravitas to the wall, we built a floating canopy above the basin unit and used LED strip lighting hidden inside the canopy to offer mood/night lighting. Above the basin we also used a large bespoke mirror to reflect and bounce light around the room.

Due to the airing cupboard, encroaching into the room, the shower area was always going to be smaller than we wished. However we replaced the tray format and installed a raised wetroom tray. Thus creating a two tiered bathroom. On the back wall of the shower we created a full width shower recess, decorated by beautiful glass mosaics and installed LED strip lighting to illuminate the glass mosaics. The shower was being pumped by a Monsoon shower pump, so we were able to use the Hansgrohe 240mm fixed shower head, paired with a hand held shower and the Hansgrohe Select Thermostat Valve.

To add further luxury we used underfloor heating in all areas, a dual fuel heating element on the radiator and kept the off the floor theme going by using a wall hung pan.
