Converting a bedroom to a wetroom

Bishopston

Client Brief

A popular request over the last 12 months has been clients asking us to convert a spare bedroom into a large family bathroom/wetroom.

Mr and Mrs H, had just had a large loft conversion completed which had given them 2 further bedrooms and an ensuite (supplied by ourselves). Their existing family bathroom felt too small for them and they had always wanted to have a large sized wetroom.

The initial request from the client was to incorporate both a freestanding bath and wetroom shower. However after exploring all layouts, it was decided to forgo the bath and create a walk through level access wetroom area. We love designing this type of shower as it is a simple but luxurious feeling to enter the shower at one end and turning the valve on at the entrance. Then leaving the other end, where a warm towel is waiting for you, draped over the stainless steel towel radiator.

Our clients couldn’t find a basin unit they felt totally satisified with, so we built a bespoke unit for them and used the Bauhaus Pearl Countertop Basin to sit on top of it, partnered with the popular Hansgrohe Focus tall basin mixer.
The choice of wall tiles, and the clever use of both colours, gives the room a unique and bespoke feel.
We love the finished look of this bathroom!

RANGE: AFFORDABLE LUXURY. TOTAL PROJECT COST: £11,250 incl. Vat.
