Rudgeway

Client Brief

Create a larger showering area with simple access. Keep storage in the room but make it look less busy and cluttered.

What We Did

Split the room into 2 levels – wet area and dry area.
Utilised the full width of the room to create a spacious showering ‘zone’
Used a wetroom screen, rather than a shower door, to make access simple
Removed fitted bathroom furniture and replaced with a simple, modern and highly effective wall hung basin unit.
Fully tiled the bathroom and made the room appear bigger by using large format tiles (1 metre in length).
Kept the room bright by using lightly coloured tiles but incorporated a bolder feature wall to create definition to the room.
Used a bold, graphite towel radiator to link rest of room with the feature wall.
Ensured great insulation with use of a powerful extraction fan.
Kept the room uncluttered with use of a close coupled WC, rather than boxing it in. By drilling out a new soil pipe location we were able to use a fully back to wall toilet to avoid unsightly pipework.
Client was nervous about slipping, so used anti-slip floor tiles so the client can be fully confident in walking around the bathroom.

RANGE: EVERYDAY LIVING. TOTAL PROJECT COST: £11,000 incl. Vat.
